SEPLITE® CT501
SEPLITE® CT 501 is the big beads resin catalyst with particle size of φ5-8mm adopting a special process technology based on one-time polymerization of styrene and divinylbenzene by the sulfonation reaction. It can be used to catalyze reaction tower to meet the different requirements of reaction temperatures and separation with the advantages of strong pressure resistant, non-corrosion, non-dregs. This product performance has reached world advanced level. The features of SEPLITE® CT 501 like uniform particle size, small material resistance, super large pore size and high exchange capacity benefit the diffusion and flow rate of materials which leads to characteristics of high porosity, good strength, long service life and high catalytic activity.

SEPLITE® CT501 Catalyst Resin Recommended Operating Conditions:
1. SEPLITE® CT 501 is a new kind of catalyst material with features of catalytic reaction and distillation at the same time, small investment in equipment, easy using, which has obvious advantages compared with the existing catalyst packing unit and catalyst distillation bulk tower.
2. This product is especially designed for preparation of tertbutyl alcohol (TBC) by hydration of isobutene countercurrent bed. The existing columnar resin catalyst has weak points of low intensity and exchange capacity, low temperature resistant ability and easy bonding, while SEPLITE® CT 501 polymeric catalyst has the advantages of high strength, high activity, high temperature resistance and non-deformation which can make up for the insufficiency of columnar resin catalyst.
3. SEPLITE® CT 501 big beads polymeric catalyst can be applied to industrial fields like: propylene hydration, Butylene hydration, methyl synthesis, isobutene preparation by tertiary butane dehydration.
Precautions:
Resins should be stored in sealed containers or bags where temperature was above 0℃ in dry conditions without exposure to direct sunlight.
Do not mix ion exchange resin with strong oxidizing agents; otherwise it will cause violent reactions.
In case of eyes contact with resins, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water, and consult a specialist. Material and samples must be disposed according to local regulations.
Dry polymers will expand when become wetted and may cause an exothermic reaction. Spilled materials may be slippery.
