Extraction of Ginkgo Flavonoids
1. Ginkgo flavonoid
At present, there are more than 170 kinds of medicinal ingredients of Ginkgo biloba, including flavonoids, azlactones, organic acids, amino acids, sugars, alcohols, and trace elements. Flavonoids are one of the main components of Ginkgo biloba leaves, accounting for 0.8-3.5% of dry leaves. There are more than 40 kinds of flavonoids in Ginkgo biloba extract. According to the chemical structure, there are 3 types: 32 kinds of monoflavonoids, 6 kinds of flavonoids and 4 kinds of catechins.
It is generally believed that biflavonoids have unique effects in the treatment of coronary heart disease and cerebral thrombosis. Gynoxins have anticancer effects, flavonoid glycosides have antioxidant effects, and ginkgolides have strong antagonistic effects on platelet activating factor. Ginkgolide helps nerve regeneration, while polypentenol can improve liver function while improving immunity.
2. Extraction method of ginkgo flavonoids
There are many extraction methods of ginkgo flavonoids, such as water extraction method, solvent extraction method, supercritical extraction method, chromatographic extraction method, microwave extraction method and ultrasonic extraction method.
Among them, the solvent extraction method is the most commonly used method at home and abroad, but the product obtained by this method is not high in purity, and has many steps, long cycle, low yield, and more organic residues in the product.
Our current method is based on water extraction method combined with macroporous adsorption technique, completely non-toxic effects, relying on the selective adsorption of macroporous adsorbent resin, providing a convenient path for the preparation of high purity ginkgo flavonoids.
3. Advantages of resin adsorption method
We developed a special resin for ginkgo flavonoids. Under the same application conditions, the adsorption rate, yield, purity and other indexes of the resin on ginkgo flavonoids were investigated. Our adsorption rate of ginkgo flavonoids is over 80%, while similar companies generally only reach between 60-70%.
The special resin for ginkgo flavonoids can be continuously used, and when it is found that the adsorption rate is reduced, the adsorption performance can be recovered through regeneration.
4. Sunresin resin adsorption line
In our case, the adsorption rate of ginkgo flavonoids reached 84%, ethanol and alkali as eluents, the desorption rate was up to 96%.
The fixed bed or simulated moving bed mode can be used. The fixed bed adsorption line is a relatively economical mode with low investment cost.
