SEPLITE® LSC738 Chelating Resin for Iron Removal from Acidic Solutions Chelating Resin
Descriptions:
SEPLITE® LSC738 is a Chelating Resin with Phosphonic and Sulfonic Acid functional groups.
Thanks to well-balanced content of phosphonic and sulfonic groups this resin possesses both classic cation exchange and complexing properties. The resin is useful for selective sorption of metals having (3+) and higher valencies from solutions with high acidity. This list of metals includes rare earth elements, actinides, molybdenum, and others.
SEPLITE® LSC738 is especially useful for the selective ferric iron removal from electrolytes of such metals as copper, nickel, cobalt.
SEPLITE® LSC738 has the advantages of following characteristics:
- Excellent resistance to osmotic shock.
- Good mechanical strength, low wear rate, small annual top-up, stable sorption performance.
- High sorption capacity leading to larger treated volume per cycle.

Precautions:
Resins should be stored in sealed containers or bags where temperature was above 0℃ in dry conditions without exposure to direct sunlight. Do not mix ion exchange resin with strong oxidizing agents; otherwise, it will cause violent reactions.
In case of eyes contact with resins, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water, and consult a specialist. Material and samples must be disposed according to local regulations.
Dry polymers will expand when become wetted and may cause an exothermic reaction. Spilled materials may be slippery.
