Sunresin’s 4000t/a Jintai salt lake lithium extraction project put into operation
On September 21, Jintai Lithium Industry’s Phase-Two 4000t/a lithium carbonate project undertaken by Sunresin started production. Up to now, Sunresin has completed an accumulated 7000t/a lithium carbonate for Jintai Lithium Industry.
Since 2018, Sunresin has successively signed 3000t/a and 4000t/a salt lake lithium extraction projects with Jintai Lithium Industry, providing full-process technical operation services using its Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) technology. The Phase-One 3000t/a lithium carbonate project has been put into operation successively in 2018 and is currently running well. In September 2021, Sunresin and Jintai Potash Fertilizer carried out strategic cooperation, and simultaneously started the construction of the Phase-Two 4000t/a lithium carbonate project.
Jintai’s 4000t/a lithium carbonate project is a major salt lake lithium extraction project designed, developed, constructed, commissioned and put into operation by Sunresin Technology in a one-stop shop fashion, including all processes from brine to lithium carbonate.
Compared with the completed Phase-One 3000t/a Lithium Carbonate Project, the adsorption process and the production capacity of a single unit have been optimized, and the connection method of the subsequent adsorption sections has been adjusted, making the overall system operation more efficient and smooth.
The commissioning of Jintai Lithium’s Phase-Two 4000t/a DLE project adds to the Phase-One 3000t/a project, also completely undertaken by Sunresin, to a total of 7000t/a, making it one of the leading suppliers of lithium salts in the Qinghai province.
In 2022, Sunresin has achieved a number of DLE projects including 4,000t/a of Minmetals Salt Lake, 6,000t/a of Jwell New Materials, and 4,000t/a of Jintai Lithium with guaranteed quality. The delivery of the Phase-One equipment for the Tibet Summit’s DLE project in Argentina has also been completed.
So far, thanks to over 10 years of experience in DLE, Sunresin has executed nine commercial DLE contracts representing a total capacity of 73,000 tonnes per annum of lithium. Sunresin's Direct Litium Extraction (DLE) technology has high recoveries with low costs and expedited processing times. It does not use any solvent and is more eco-friendly for sustainable development.
