SEPLITE® LSF983 Ion Exchange Resins
Descriptions:
SEPLITE® LSF983 is a food grade, polyacrylic macroporous weak acidic cation resin.
This resin is characterized by its acrylic matrix. It has a higher selectivity for divalent cations like lead, cadmium, copper, cobalt, and nickel than SAC resins. By removing the hardness as well as these heavy metals which are harmful to human health, the resin can improve the taste and purity of drinking water.
Due to the polyacrylic matrix, the resin has good resistance to attrition and is very stable to commonly used chemicals.
LSF983 is most commonly used in drinking water production and food industry such as sugar, also used in standard mixed bed system.
Manufacturing process is fully compliant with European Union regulation on Ion Exchange Resins and Adsorbers used in the processing of foodstuffs ResAP 2004(3).

Applications:
Dealkalization and softening of drinking water in POU system,such as Cartridge filter application.
Resins partially loaded with Na, K, Mg or Ag ions are also available upon request.
Precautions:
Resins should be stored in sealed containers or bags where temperature was above 0℃ in dry conditions without exposure to direct sunlight. Do not mix ion exchange resin with strong oxidizing agents; otherwise it will cause violent reactions.
In case of eyes contact with resins, rinse eyes immediately with plenty of water, and consult a specialist.
Material and samples must be disposed according to local regulations.
Dry polymers will expand when become wetted and may cause an exothermic reaction.
Spilled materials may be slippery.
